The Dwell Church Leadership Team has discerned that it is most faithful to both the person and work of Jesus and relevant scriptural texts on the matter that a response is required from us to love our neighbors. We must therefore support immigrant families on the peninsula.
Lev 19:33-34, for example, states: When immigrants live in your land with you, you must not cheat them. Any immigrant who lives with you must be treated as if they were one of your citizens. You must love them as yourself, because you were immigrants in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.
We therefore are pursuing the following action steps:
Latinos Unidos en Christo
A local church in San Mateo who distributes hundreds of meals each week, including to immigrant families. They need van repairs. Sign up for more information on how to support them financially.
San Mateo Foster City School District Responds
Dwell has consulted with the local school district to help support furthering the reach of school district resources, many of which are useful to immigrant families without school age children.
